Italy

(Venice continued)

We went to the island of Murano to see the glass blowing and to an island specializing in lace making. I bought a souvenir from each place. We went to one island that is an entire cemetary. I saw the oddest creature on the cemetary island and have not been able to find any reference to it. We debated whether it was a hyperactive bee or a hummingbird. It was not more than 1-2 inches long and the wings were beating rapidly. I tried a couple of pictures but to no avail. We walked on the beach on the island of Lido, though with the advent of fall, it was too chilly for me to venture into the water. I was impressed with the age of the buildings, the venice gothic style architecture, the people and the food.

I'm not in Kansas anymore!! :)
