The journey continues in San Francisco. I have always wanted to visit San Francisco, and one day just was not enough so I will have to come back. We had lunch on fisherman's wharf, watched a seal play in the ocean fed leftover bread to the seagulls and got rather nicely told to stop doing that...umm you can guess why, and took a boat ride around Alcatraz. I had my heart in my stomach a few times at the steep and narrow roads. SanFrancisco is a unique, fun city to visit. I enjoyed the small malls that are more a series of shops around a paved courtyard. We drank espresso outside as we watched large cruiseliners sail into the Bay.
