Welcome to my communication center. This is the place where you'll find things that don't fit anywhere else. It is evolving into a web self help section.
Here you can join the world community grid, ie the cybernauts (my team) to use distributed computing in solving the causes of disease. Protein folding is the current project being worked on by ordinary folks volunteering their spare computer time to aid humanity. The process is similar yet different from Seti, (search for extra-terrestrial intelligence). Similar in that both are distribuated computing with many computers working on a goal, and both will work only as screensavers if you choose, and different in the fact that this world community grid agent is not always running. According to the people at world community grid, the agent is active only when the computer is idle.
There are links here for the "missing children's" homepage. There are some games, and a place to check the local weather or weather anywhere. You can download aim here if you need an instant message service. You can also sign my guestbook or pin my guestmap to let me know what part of the world you come from.
